Tales by TerishD: For the Sake of a Soul: XXVII

Decisions of the Divine
Terdeskollit found himself laughing. The travelers were actually being entertaining. After another morning meal from the available plants, the group made it a point to tend to the horses. Not being able to talk to the animals, questions were asked of the centaur hoping that her partial equestrian form would allow her to empathize with the horses. The assumption was faulty because in being able to understand the situation, Celatia had blocked certain base urges. Her indirect replies caused Terish to physically inspect his steed for signs of distress.
The party learns that Terdeskollit can change his style.

The Search for Hope
The scenery around the group was bleak. It was a dry rocky landscape covered in small spider like creatures. The group tried to imagine the terrain under better conditions. They attempted to find straight flat sections that once might have been a road. Stones were seen as pieces of a puzzle that could be stacked back up as buildings. Depressions were considered as possible signs that trees once stood. None of the mental visualizations were enabled to become complete however.
Our adventurous groups begins to realize the complete dispair of their surroundings.

The Need for Defiance
The sun had yet to rise, but the sky was no longer completely dark. It was actually a peaceful period. The gaunts were no longer able to exist, and the auskranids had yet to awaken. The group considered resting, but they had not yet found the promised food.
Terdeskollit finds that the situation in which he has placed the group does not simply test them.

Challenge Worth Thought
Terdeskollit was again being displeased with the travelers. He thought that the situation was perfect. The group had put themselves into a good mood before stepping through the rift onto his world. The sky was growing dark on the world of Derstannon, but the sky and air were black around the adventurers on the other side of the rift. There were no signs of active animal life on the world of the sleeping gods, but on this world even the complete darkness sent signals that predators were active. The change in situation should have caused strong outbursts of unfairness as the group became concerned for their health. That did not happen.
And so begins the final march towards the objective.

Tales by Meg: Bhaalspawns' Tale

Disclaimer: I don’t own Baldur’s Gate II Shadows of Amn, blah, blah blah. You already know that stuff. On with the story!!!!!
Chapter 1: Experimentation
Celüith opened his eyes slowly. Even in the dull light, his eyes felt like they were burning. He realized he was lying down, and there was this terrible feeling all throughout his body. A headache seared his brain like a wildfire. He closed his eyes again. Prickles poked him in his brain and wouldn’t stop for a while...
Note: Another one of my stories-- this one's going to be better, I think. Just a little something when I'm bored.
Special Thanks to TerishD for sending me grammar corrections. I haven't asked my teacher yet, but I will get to it.

Unwanted Connections
Terish was as interested in finishing the text as the others, so only sipped his wine before continuing. 'I would think that Dirchein would have many voices sounding in her head. She denies such, and I cannot sense any schizophrenia in her. However, each part of her was not placed into her until it had soaked in the life fluids of someone. My golden lady was crafted by a man named Chaltrax and his wife Ennada. I assume that Ennada was the hag that I killed. The last entry in the text is of Chaltrax considering killing his wife to finish the construction of Dirchein. I assume that the hag managed to kill her husband instead. Anyway, Dirchein is supposedly animated by the energy from the souls of others. Whether she has a soul of her own, a soul composed of the parts of souls of others, or is just a machine I cannot say.
The story moves away from the story of Gerlitt with the group needing to make certain decisions.
